About Chris Gethard
Chris Gethard is a writer, actor and comedian living in New York City. He is a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where he hosts a monthly variety/talk show, “The Chris Gethard Show,” to sold-out audiences. He performs in several other UCB shows including, “Asssscat,” “The Stepfathers” and “The Nights of Our Lives,” a storytelling show he created that Metro referred to as “the funniest night in New York.” His UCB one man show, “Chris Gethard’s Magic Box of Stories,” sold out in New York and Los Angeles and was featured at the 2009 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. In March, Gethard flew a downtrodden Midwesterner named Mitchell Fesh to New York and made him the guest of honor for the night amongst a packed house comprised of both fans and fellow UCBers. On television, Gethard appeared on ABC sitcoms, MTV’s “Human Giant” and NBC’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” as well as in numerous television commercials. On the film side, he can be seen in the upcoming feature, “The Other Guys,” along with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
Gethard has also been active in the world of publishing. His writings have appeared in numerous magazines and he is the author of the book Weird NY, and the co-author of the best selling books Weird US, Weird NJ (Volumes 1 and 2), and Weird VA.
In addition, Gethard served as a guest writer for “Saturday Night Live” and was a founding writer at the Onion News Network.
About Krut Braunohler
Kurt Braunohler was most recently seen at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he was nominated (along with Kristen Schaal) for the if.comedy Award's "Best Comedy Show" (formerly the Perrier). Before that he won the Barry Award for “Best in Festival” at the Melbourne Comedy Festival (also with Kristen). A seasoned performer, Kurt has been seen at SXSW, Bonaroo, Melbourne Comedy Festival (Barry Award Winner), the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival, Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, the HBO Vegas Comedy Festival, the Chicago Improv Festival (where he was a recipient of the “Improv Ensemble of the Year” Award) and numerous colleges in the US. Among his list of awards are the ECNY award for "Best Male Comedian" and "Best Host" and the NYTVF's award for "Best Non-scripted Host."
Currently, Kurt co-hosts the variety show, Hot Tub, which was voted "Best New Variety Show" by Time-Out New York's readers poll. His creations include Chengwin.com, which was voted by the Village Voice as "Best Hilarious Insane Guerilla Theatre". His web-series, which he co-created, "Penelope: Princess of Pets" was made into a for-broadcast pilot for Channel 4 in London. The anti-game show he hosts, "Pointless" has been picked up for 10 episodes on the IFC network. He also co-wrote, directed and produced a music video for the New Pornographers. As for the future, Kurt will be starring in episodes of “Delocated” for Adult Swim and “Bob’s Burgers” for FOX.
